We’re looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data team at Inven. You’ll be part of a high-energy product and engineering group where ownership is real and impact is immediate.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll work on complex, data-heavy features, shaping what a great AI-first product looks like. From designing scalable infrastructure to tackling novel data challenges, you’ll be at the core of our innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Design and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines.
• Build infrastructure to power AI-driven product features.
• Collaborate with product and ML teams to turn raw data into insights.
• Solve complex problems in data quality, retrieval, and transformation.
• Shape the technical direction of a rapidly growing startup.

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who thrives in a startup environment: ambitious, curious, and eager to push boundaries. Specifically, you bring:

• Proven track record in building and scaling data infrastructure and data products.
• Strong technical skills: high proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with modern, cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS preferred, but Azure/GCP also valuable).
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Flyte, Airflow, Prefect, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Kubernetes).
• Experience with data processing frameworks (Spark, Snowflake, Postgres).
• Strong technical skills: high proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Bonus: Past work on entity resolution, unstructured-to-structured data extraction, document retrieval, ranking, or clustering.
• Fluency in English or Finnish.
